ICMR National Institute Of Virology ( NIV) , Pune seeking qualified candidates for the
position of Senior Project Associate under the ANRF-funded research project titled:
"Investigating the Diversity, Evolution, and Functional Roles of Endogenous Viral Elements (EVEs) in Mosquito Species"
Details about the project position is as per below mentioned 
1. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day project activities Manage and execute data collection, analysis, and interpretation (genomics, transcriptomics, methylomics)

Coordinate both wet lab and bioinformatics workflows

Collaborate with internal and external research teams to meet project milestones

Contribute to scientific reports, manuscript writing, and presentations

2. Essential Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology /Bioinformatics
OR
Master's Degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years of research experience

3. Additional Skills:
Experience in wet lab techniques (e.g., DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis)

Hands-on experience with omics data analysis and bioinformatics tools Strong analytical,
documentation, and communication skills

4. Desirable Skills:
Strong bioinformatics skills, including proficiency in Python and R

Experience in comparative genomics, phylogenetics, and evolutionary biology Familiarity with databases and pipelines for large-scale omics data integration

5. Emoluments & Tenure:
Monthly Salary: ₹57,000 (Consolidated, including HRA)

6. Tenure: 
Initially for 12 months, extendable annually for up to 3 years based on performance and availability of funds 
7. Work Location:
