Research Training Opportunity in Human Genetics & Genomics – 6 Months
A 6-month research training opportunity is available for a highly motivated trainee/intern to join a research group at the Centre for Research in Pure and Applied Sciences (CRPAS), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru.
Research Project
Decoding 46,XY Disorders of Sex Development (DSD): Molecular Insights from Whole-Exome Sequencing
Training Exposure
The selected trainee will gain exposure to:
- Clinical and genetic aspects of 46,XY DSD
- Variant prioritization and interpretation of Whole-Exome Sequencing (WES) data
- ACMG-based variant classification
- Genotype–phenotype correlation studies
- Literature mining and database analysis
- Basic bioinformatics and genomics workflows
- Scientific writing and data presentation
Eligibility
Candidates with an M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or Life Sciences may apply.
Final-year postgraduate students seeking a dissertation project may also apply.
Candidates should have a strong interest in human genetics and genomic medicine.
Duration
6 Months

This is a research-training opportunity intended for skill development and academic exposure. The internship is unpaid.
