CSIR–Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow has invited applications for two positions under an ICMR-funded research project (GAP-477). The project focuses on understanding chemoresistance in non-small cell lung cancer.
Project Details
Project Title: Targeting the HDAC1-CIP2A-PP2AC signaling axis to overcome chemoresistance against standard therapy in non-small cell lung cancer
Project Duration: 4 Years
1. Project Research Scientist-II
Number of Positions: 1
Essential Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree, including an integrated PG degree, in Life Sciences such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology or allied subjects, with 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant subject; OR
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology or allied subjects.
Desirable Experience:
- In-vitro cancer cell line handling
- In-vivo rodent cancer models
- Next-generation sequencing (NGS) and data analysis
- Proteomics
- Patient-derived organoids (PDOs)
- Postdoctoral-level experience in the above areas will be an added advantage.
Key Research Responsibilities:
- Development of animal models of cancer
- Co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP)
- ChIP sequencing
- NGS/transcriptomics and data analysis
- Proteomics
- Development of CRISPR/Cas9 knockout cell lines
- Establishment of patient-derived organoids (PDOs)
- Other project-related research activities
Monthly Emoluments: ₹67,000 + HRA (20% of fellowship)
Upper Age Limit: 40 years, as per applicable relaxation rules.
2. Project Technical Support-III
Number of Positions: 1
Essential Qualification:
- Three-year Graduate Degree in Life Sciences such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology or allied subjects, with 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant subject; OR
- Postgraduate Degree in Life Sciences such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology or allied subjects.
Desirable Experience:
- Mammalian cell culture
- Knowledge of cancer biology and cell-signaling concepts
Key Research Responsibilities:
- Development of chemoresistant cell lines
- Cell-based assays
- Flow cytometry assays
- Animal model development
- Establishment of patient-derived organoids (PDOs)
- Other project-related research activities
Monthly Emoluments: ₹28,000 + HRA (20% of fellowship)
Upper Age Limit: 35 years, as per applicable relaxation rules.
