The selected candidate will be responsible for leading scientific teams and developing sophisticated cellular assays connecting basic biology with pharmaceutical development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and execution of complex functional assays, including electrophysiology, ion channel characterization, disease-relevant cell models and osmotic stress assays.
  • Develop disease-relevant cell culture models, including primary cells, iPSC-derived cell types, 3D cell cultures and organoids.
  • Lead translational research and assay development activities.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships.
  • Mentor and train junior cell biologists.
  • Develop and implement SOPs and ensure reproducibility across projects.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets and regulatory compliance.
  • Work in accordance with GLP, ICH and FDA guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot assay performance and optimize protocols.
  • Drive scientific innovation within a fast-paced CRO environment.
