Job Description:
CrispBits Private Limited is looking for a Genomics Intern to support its genomics services, including CRISPR-based cell editing, high-throughput cell culture management, and manual cell-based assays for generating engineered mammalian cell lines and cell pools for genome research and drug discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cell line engineering using CRISPR-Cas9 to create clonal or pooled populations.
- Maintain, expand, feed and cryopreserve mammalian cell cultures.
- Extract genomic DNA and perform PCR and gel electrophoresis.
- Analyze Sanger sequencing data.
- Support process optimization and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Troubleshoot routine laboratory and equipment issues.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, reagents and supplies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support production timelines.
Educational Qualification:
M.Sc. in:
- Molecular Biology
- Cell Biology
- Bioengineering
- Related Life Sciences disciplines
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture.
- Experience in genomic DNA extraction.
- Knowledge of CRISPR transfection methods.
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory processes under supervision.
- Good organizational and teamwork skills.
