4. Position Summary: 
They are seeking a motivated and academically strong Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Bioinformatics with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Programming and Computational Biology. The candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student mentoring, active research and academic development of the bioinformatics department. 
The selected faculty member will also contribute to the development of the School's Al & Digital Biology Cluster, an interdisciplinary initiative focused on applying Al, computational approaches and digital technologies to biological, biomedical and healthcare research.
5. Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate B.Tech. and postgraduate M.Sc. students in areas including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Leaming, Python, Programming, Data Science, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
-Develop and deliver practical, application-oriented courses integrating programming, AVML and biological sciences.
-Mentor students in academic projects, dissertations and interdisciplinary research projects.
-Establish and actively pursue research Al, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Digital Biology
-Publish research findings in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences and contribute to research proposals and externally funded projects.
-Contribute actively to the development of the Al & Digital Biology Cluster, including AU/ML applications in genomics, NGS, multi-omics, omics, biomedical data analysis, drug discovery and other emerging areas of Digital Biology.
-Develop computational pipelines, analytical tools, software applications and Al-enabled solutions for biological and biomedical research.
-Establish interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers and faculty in Biotechnology. matics, Medicine, Healthcare and allied disciplines.
-Guide postgraduate students in research and contribute to strengthening the research ecusystom of the Department and the School.
-Participate in academic activities including curriculum development, workshops, nars, conferences and other instinctive coding initiatives.
6. Eligibility Criteria: 
-Postgraduate degree and/or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics or a closely related discipline.
-Strong programming skills in  Python  desirable and Knowledge of R, C/C++, Java or other languages will be an added  advantage
-Demonstrated knowledge or experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and/or Data Science.
-Experience in applying computational approaches to biological, genomic, biomedical or healthcare data will be preferred.
-Candidates with research publications, project experience demonstrated expertise at t intersection of Computer Science and Life Sciences will be given preference.
-Candidates should have a strong interest in teaching, student mentoring and active research.
