Centre For Human Genetics Inviting Applications for the Post of Project Assistant

1. Position: Project Assistant 

2. Role Description:

CHG, invites applications from motivated and enthusiastic candidates for the position of Project Assistant in Metastasis Research Laboratory at the Centre for Human Genetics. 

Candidates will gain experience in experimental work with a focus on cancer biology. 

They will be responsible for maintaining cell cultures, conducting assays and laboratory duties. 

Candidates with academic interests will be preferred and encouraged to present seminars, posters and attend academic meetings related to the subject. 

The work includes culturing of cancer cells under laboratory conditions and more complex in vivo animal models, therefore prior experience with cell culture and animal work would be recommended.

3. Essential qualifications:  Candidates must have M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or any other relevant subjects with first class and good academic records.

4. Other Aspects: 

i. Duration: Two years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).

ii. Number of posts available: 2

iii. Minimum period of commitment: 2 years

iv. Training stipend: as per institute norms.

v. Hostel accommodation on campus may be available to out-station candidates
