Role Summary:
The Manager of the Publication Services Unit will lead all journal and conference publication workflows, ensuring compliance with submission guidelines, timely delivery, and high-quality outputs.
This role requires strong expertise in academic publishing systems, editorial communication, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
a. Presubmission enquiries: Draft and track journal enquiry emails, collate responses.
b. Submission requirements: Maintain updated journal and conference guidelines.
c. Article stylization: Supervise formatting and revisions per journal/editor comments.
d. Document preparation: Oversee COI forms, cover letters, copyright forms.
e. File finalization: Approve stylized files for submission.
f. Proofreading: Ensure accuracy in galley proofs.
g. Conference portal navigation:
Manage abstract/paper submissions to conference platforms.
h. Team leadership & quality assurance: Guide staff, enforce standards, and ensure smooth communication with authors, editors, and organizers.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Life Sciences, or related field.
Experience: 
3-5 years' experience in academic publishing and conference submissions.
Proficiency with journal systems and conference platforms. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
