QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engg Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, CSP, CHMM) are strongly preferred with a deep understanding of biosafety (BS11-3), industrial hygiene, and GMP regulations.
EXPERIENCE: 3-8 Years in EHS
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage safe handling, storage, and disposal of biohazards, chemicals, and hazardous waste.
Conduct water sampling and raw material testing.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, biosafety guidelines, and cGMP standards.
Follow and support SOPs/STPs and QC documentation requirements.
Perform JSA, HIRA, and process safety assessments across labs, pilot plants, and manufacturing areas.
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents; implement CAPA actions.
Deliver training on biosafety, PPE, emergency procedures, and chemical safety.
Conduct regular inspections of labs, cleanrooms, and production facilities to identify risks and violations.
Develop and maintain emergency response and evacuation plans.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, trainings, and safety metrics for regulatory compliance.
