6. Key responsibilities:
a. Responsible for leading and conducting advance microbiological studies for developing innovative solutions, ensuring high quality standards.
b. Creative mindset for developing new microbial products for crop protection.
c. Designing and execution of microbial isolations, pure culture maintenance, fermentation process optimization - upstream and downstream, microbial characterization (biochemical and molecular).
d. Knowledge / experience in fermentation process optimization for enhancing specific microbial biomolecules/metabolites for bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes.
e. Ability to craft well defined and executed proof of concept to validate IP and product development.
f. Experience with traditional genetic modification strategies.
g. To be able to carryout pilot trials for optimization, scale up trials and field validation.
h. Sample preparations for field trials/regulatory trials.
i. Maintain, manage and present research data.
j. Collaboration with cross functional teams for microbial assays, characterization of metabolites and field assays.
