GITAM University is hiring Junior Research Fellow on project funded by Anusandhan  National Research Foundation

1. Position: Junior Research Fellow 

2. Project Title: 

From Pores to Performance:

Decoding Nucleoporin functions in Plant Stress Adaptation

The project focuses on 

-Plant stress biology and adaptation mechanisms

-Genome editing and gene function analysis.

-Plant tissue culture and molecular biotechnology techniques

3. Essential Qualification: 

-M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Plant Sciences/Botany or related fields

-Strong interest in molecular biology and plant stress research

-Hands-on experience in laboratory techniques

4. Preferred Qualifications: 

-Experience with CRISPR/gene editing

-Basic knowledge of plant tissue culture and genetic transformation

-Experience in molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, cloning) and basic bioinformatics tools

5. Fellowship: 

-NET/GATE Qualified 

Years 1 & 2-  37,000+ HRA

Year 3-  42,000 + HRA

- Without NET/ GATE

As per ANRF norms

6. Duration: 

3 Years (Ph.D. Track)

7. Location: 

GITAM University, Visakhapatnam
