Applications are invited from eligible and highly motivated candidates to work as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the project entitled "Immunometabolic Regulation of Tumor-Immune Interactions in NASH-Driven Hepatocellular Carcinoma" funded under the ANRF Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) scheme at the Amity University Punjab, Mohali.

1. Name and Number of Posts: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)-01 Post
2. Fellowship:
(i) Rs. 37,000/- per month + 10% HRA* to scholars who are selected through
a) CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or b) a selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies or institutions including DBT, DST, ICMR, IISER, IISc etc.
(ii) Rs. 30,000/- + 10% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) mentioned above.

3. Duration: Initially 12 months, extendable up to 36 months based on performance.
4. Essential Qualifications: Master's degree in Life Sciences or related disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) or 4-years Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or B.Tech.) in Life Sciences or related discipline with a minimum of 75% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a recognized university.
5. Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with one or more of the following will be preferred:
-Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture techniques.
-Knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, cloning, Western blotting, microscopy, and/or FACS, and data analysis using R programming.
6. Job Description: The selected candidate will work on developing in vitro models, including tumor-immune cell co-cultures, to characterize potential immunometabolic targets and explore them for their anti-cancer effects using cell and molecular biology tools. The candidate is expected to register for the Ph.D program at Amity University Punjab and will fulfil the requisite duties and responsibilities for attaining the PhD degree. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project or even before (at one month notice) if the work and conduct is not found satisfactory.
