5. Job Summary:
The Upstream Executive Trainee is responsible for executing microbial cultivation and fermentation activities to support the production of biological products.
The role involves media preparation, inoculum development, operation of fermenters, bioreactors, autoclaves, and other upstream processing equipment, while ensuring compliance with SOPs, GMP, and safety standards.
The incumbent will monitor process parameters, maintain production documentation, coordinate with quality teams, and contribute to efficient, high-quality, and timely manufacturing operations.
6. Roles & Responsibilities:
-Execute upstream production activities including media preparation, inoculum development, and fermentation processes.
-Operate and monitor fermenters, bioreactors, autoclaves, laminar airflow units, incubators, and related equipment.
-Perform sterilization of media, glassware, and equipment using autoclaves and follow aseptic practices.
-Monitor critical process parameters such as pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, agitation, and aeration.
-Ensure timely and accurate completion of batch manufacturing records, logbooks, and production documentation.
-Conduct routine cleaning, sanitization, and preventive maintenance of production equipment and work areas.
-Coordinate with Quality Control for in-process sampling, testing, and batch release activities.
-Identify and report process deviations, equipment issues, and support troubleshooting activities.
-Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, biosafety, EHS, and company quality standards.
-Support process optimization, scale-up activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
7. Essential qualifications:
B.Tech in Biotechnology or relevant field.
8. Experience: Freshers
Freshers with relevant academic projects/internships with experience in biological production, fermentation, microbial cultivation, biopesticides, biofertilizers or related manufacturing environments.
9. Required Skills and Competencies:
-Knowledge of microbiology and biological production processes.
-Understanding of aseptic handling and contamination control practices
-Familiarity with GMP, SOPs ad documentation requirements.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Good communication and teamwork abilities
-Proficiency in MS Office and production documentation.
-Ability to work in shifts and production-oriented environments
