Advertisement for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under ANRF Funded Project

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Raebareli (NIPER-R) is an autonomous Institute of National Importance set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. 

Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellow (ONE) to work on the ANRF-sponsored project entitled "Enhancing Nectin-Mediated Synaptic Stability via MMP-9 Silencing in Stress and Obesity" under supervision of Dr. Ashok K. Datusalia, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology (PI) and Dr Keerti Jain, Department of Pharmaceutics (Co-PI) through an offline/online interview.

1. Name of the Position:  Junior Research Fellow (01 Position) 

2. Qualification and Experience: 

a. Essential Qualifications:

MS Pharm (Pharmacology & Toxicology/Regulatory Toxicology/ Biotechnology)/ MPharm/MTech (Biotechnology/Bioscience/ Bioengineering)/ MD (Pharmacology/Pharmacology & Toxicology). MVSc (Pharmacology/Pathology/ Biotechnology)/ MSc (Life Science/Biochemistry/Neuroscience/ Biotechnology) with a minimum 60% aggregate or 6.75 CGPA

b. Desirable Qualification: Preference shall be given to a candidate with 

i. Qualified in GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET/CSIR-JRF/DHR-BRET 

ii. Working knowledge of big data handling/R-program/Gene norms. and protein database/image processing tools shall be prefered 

iii. Knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques (qPCR/Immunoblotting etc.).

3. Maximum Age limit: 

28 yrs.

The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case SC/ST/OBC/of women and physically handicapped candidates as per Govt of India

4. Salary: 37000/-plus HRA as applicable

5. Duration:Initially for one year, extendable to three years

c. The interview shall be conducted through hybrid mode (online/offline) tentatively on last week of April, 2026,

Candidates may also note the following points:

1. Application once submitted cannot be altered resubmitted, under any circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data, particularly entered by the candidate in the application will be entertained once the application is submitted.

2. Incomplete application or those without relevant supporting documents (self-attested copies of Date of birth/Degrees/ Certificates/ Mark sheets/Experience Certificates/documents, etc.) will be rejected.

3. On the recommendation of the Screening/Selection Committee, the competent authority may relax all or any of the requirements related to age and experience in exceptionally meritorious cases.

4. NIPER Raebareli reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates. The project team will have the right to put any screening criteria in case large. numbers of applications are received.

5. Interview will be held tentatively on last week of April at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Bijnor-Sisendi Road, Sarojini Nagar, Near CRPF Base Camp, Lucknow. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail/Mobile, and no separate interview letter will be issued for the same.

6. Please note that no TA/DA will be given to the candidates called for the interview.

7. Selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for Ph.D. programme as per provision in the above research area after fulfilling the required criteria as per the institute rules (Applicable for JRF/SRF only).

8. The offer of project position is purely of temporary in nature for a one year initially and extended further till the project duration based on performance and does not confer any right for absorption in NIPER Raebareli.
