Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in ANRF funded project (ID: ANRF/ARG/2025/005007/LS) entitled, "Designing Nature-Inspired Ultra-short Peptides Against ESKAPE Pathogens for the Treatment of Corneal Infections".

1. Title of the Project: 'Designing Nature-Inspired Ultra-short Peptides Against ESKAPE Pathogens for the Treatment of Corneal Infections"

2. Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

3. Number of Position: 01 (one)

4. Duration of the project: Initially for 1 year and extendable up to 3 years depending upon. the performance

5. Age Limit: Maximum 28 Years as on 06/05/2026.

6. Qualifications:

A. Essential : M.Sc./ME/M.Tech. equivalent degree Bioinformatics/

Biophysics/Biochemistry/Biomedical/Biotechnology/Microbiology/LifeScience/

Computer Science related subjects with 1 class in graduation and post-graduation.. 

B. Tech/B.E. degree holders from the above areas with minimum 8.5 CGPA can also apply.

7. Nature of the work: -Candidates possessing demonstrated expertise in molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations, complemented by hands-on experience in wet-lab Biochemistry/Microbiology techniques, will be strongly preferred. 

-Additional preference will be accorded to applicants who have qualified national-level competitive examinations such as GATE, NET, ICMR, DBT, INSPIRE, or other equivalent fellowships/rankings.

10. This appointment will be purely contractual. Initially appointment will be for first one year. It will be renewed for another year or till the end of project whichever is earlier based on the performance of the candidate and recommendation of the selection/review committee.

11. The first and foremost responsibility of the candidate is to fulfil the jobs' requirements to complete the above-mentioned project in timely manner.

12. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program in the AS Department, IIITA provided they satisfy the eligibility criterion followed by selection process laid down by the institute.

13. After qualifying the PhD admission/selection test, the candidate may register as regular PhD scholar and eligible to draw the fellowship and other allowances as per the Institute rules.

14. Hostel accommodation may be provided as per Institute rules.
