Ichor Biologics is  Hiring Manager, R&D (Downstream Processing , Purification & Protein Chemistry)
Ichor Biologics is  strengthening their Downstream R&D
capability to support new protein development, process robustness, and Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing excellence. For this they  are looking for a hands-on R&D professional with strong expertise in protein purification and protein chemistry, capable of working from lab to commercial scale and providing scientific troubleshooting support to DS manufacturing.
Details are provided below 
1. Position: Manager, R&D (Downstream Processing , Purification & Protein Chemistry)
2. Location: Hyderabad
3. Sector: Biologics /Plasma-Derived Medicinal Products (PDMPs)
4.  Experience: M.Sc. with 12-15 years of experience, or
Ph.D. with 6-7 years of experience, with strong hands-on purification and commercial manufacturing troubleshooting exposure in the last 5-7 years
5. Qualification: M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
6. Key Responsibilities: 
- Design, develop, and optimize protein purification processes (chromatography, TFF, filtration)
-Apply protein chemistry principles to improve yield, purity, stability, and robustness
-Support lab → pilot → commercial scale-up and tech transfer
-Provide troubleshooting support for DS manufacturing issues, including yield loss, impurity trends, aggregation, and variability
-Execute process characterization, robustness, and comparability studies
-Prepare and review R&D protocols, study reports, and regulatory-supporting documents
-Work closely with Manufacturing, MSAT, ARD, and QA to implement sustainable solutions
