3. Position Description
Dr. Yuan Fang is recruiting a Master student for Summer/Fall 2026 admission. Dr. Fang studies a wide range of emerging food safety topics using advanced molecular and genomic approaches.
Areas of interest include the
-Ecology of foodborne pathogenic bacteria,
Genotype-to-phenotype characterization of antimicrobial resistance, and
-Novel preservation in food systems
4. Required Skills:
The candidates who are interested in this position are required to have:
-Strong interests in food safety, food microbiology, molecular microbiology and bacterial genomics.
5. Qualification Required:
BSc. in Food Science or/and Food Microbiology or related majors.
6. Experience:
-Working experience in microbiology or food microbiology labs.
-Hands-on experience with molecular genetic technologies is preferred.
-Experiences or training in molecular cloning and applied bioinformatics would be advantageous and given stronger consideration.
-Demonstrated strong ability and willingness to work independently and collaboratively.
