Job Description:
-Strategic R&D Leadership Lead and manage the entire R&D function - Formulation R&D, Process R&D, Analytical, and Technical Documentation.
-Build and guide a high-performing team of scientists, technologists, and research associates.
-Define innovation roadmaps and long-term product development strategies.
-New Product Development (NPD) Drive development of innovative herbal, phytochemical, and nutraceutical products.
-Lead the design, formulation, and optimization of finished dosage forms Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to translate trends into scalable product ideas.
-Formulation & Process
Development
-Oversee formulation studies
focusing on stability, bioavailability, taste masking, and product performance.
-Develop and refine extraction and purification processes for herbal
actives.
-Validate new processes in compliance with quality and regulatory norms.
-Technology Transfer & Scale-Up Manage pilot trials and scale-up from lab to commercial production.
Ensure robust technology transfer to manufacturing units with proper documentation (BMR, SOPs, tech transfer reports).
-Troubleshoot process issues during commercialization and support continuous improvement.
-International R&D Interface Coordinate with global clients, partners, and regulatory bodies for custom development and documentation.
-Ensure all products meet
international regulatory and documentation requirements (FSSAI, AYUSH, EFSA, USFDA, etc.). 
-Scientific Research & Literature Direct research on medicinal plants, actives, and therapeutic applications using ethnopharmacological and clinical data.
-Guide preparation of scientific dossiers, monographs, white papers, and technical sales support documents.
