6. Job Description:
a. Perform RNA and DNA isolation and purification from biological samples (PBMC, Blood, Saliva, Amniotic Samples, Bacteria, Biofilm, Fungi) using the equipments within the lab.
b. Check and ensure the quality of the isolated samples.
c. Perform RNA and DNA library preparation for long read (PacBio Sequel-II) and short read sequencing (Novaseq 6000) using the equipment's within the lab.
d. Perform SNP genotyping experiments using Gene Titan instrument (From Thermo fisher).
e. Record results and maintain records for particular experiments or closely related series of experiments.
f. Standardization of library preparation for ITS, WGBS, RRBS, GBS, ddRAD, miRNA, different regions of V1 to V9 and execution.
g. Planning and execution of different diagnostic tests using RT-PCR.
h. Share the QC reports with the clients.
i. Listing of samples on the receipt of the samples and storing at appropriate storage conditions.
j. Provide technical assistance in all the NGS projects.
k. Work with a cross-functional team to complete specific projects in the stipulated timelines.
l. Developing SOPs for the handled experiments and timely revision.
m. Implement and ensure strict adherence to quality control and quality assurance measures of NGS assays.
n. Ensure adherence to all regulatory laboratory guidelines in aspects of the day-to-day activities of the laboratory.
o. Perform lab inventories and work efficiently as a team member and report regularly to the report (L1).
