Project Associate Position at IIT Kanpur in the domain of Synthetic Biology
Applications are invited for one position of Project Associate, initially for a period of 6 months (extendable depending on the performance) in the MoE sponsored project entitled "Design Of Synthetic Genetic Circuits: Robustness Towards Change In The Growth Rate" at IIT Kanpur.
Details are Provided below 
1. Minimum Academic Qualification: 
MSc degree in Bioscience or Biotechnology or related fields + at least one year of laboratory experience
Or
BSc/BTech degree in Bioscience or Biotechnology or related fields + at least three years of research experience.

2. Desirable experience: 
1. Proficient in Molecular Biology Laboratory Techniques: Cloning (3A, Gibson, Golden Gate), Plasmid Isolation, Transformation, Gel Electrophoresis, PCR.
2. Should have experience in operating Plate Reader, Fluorescence microscopy, qPCR.
3. Working knowledge of Bioinformatic tools: BLAST, Snapgene
4. Basic idea about construction of a genetic circuit
5. Hands on experience on working with E. coli
6. Should have a proven ability to carry out research.
3. Salary: 21600-1800-54000 INR
