Narayana Netralaya Foundation invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Research Scientist -I (Non-medical) (1 Position) under an ICMR (IIRPSG-2024-01-01115) funded project titled 'Development of Good Manufacturing Practice-Compatible Generation and Culture Methods of Corneal endothelial cells from Human induced pluripotent stem cells', in GROW Research Laboratory, Narayana Netralaya Foundation, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
1. Position - Project Research Scientist-I ( Non-Medical Medical)
2. No. Of Positions- 01
3. Minimum Essential Qualification required: First Class / Second class Post Graduate Degree in
Biological sciences / Life Sciences / Bio medical science, including the integrated PG Degree with 3 years of prior research experience.
4.. Remuneration: As per ICMR norms.
5. Preferred:
a. Prior hands on experience with stem cells and primary cultures, microscopy.
b. Experience in Animal handling and work with rodents and / or rabbits.
c. Interest in developing GMP process for stem cell derived products.
d. A team player with excellent communication skills, including the ability to write scientific text and present data.
6. The role:
a.The post holder will be primarily responsible to generate iPSC lines, iPSC differentiation, and develop GMP protocols.
b. Clinical sample processing and their bio-banking and participate in all the laboratory activities.
c. Undertake other laboratory duties as responsibilities of this post.
d. The post offers the opportunity to become proficient in iPSC generation, differentiation, Developing GMP process for cell therapy.
7. Age Limit: 35 years. Cut-off date for age limit will be as on the date of last date for submission of applications. Age relaxation will be as per the guidelines of ICMR.
8. Period of engagement: From the date of appointment till project duration.
9. Closing date of application: 21st March 2025.
