These positions are available for carrying out the various research projects under Annual Plan of Operations 2024-25 at AIWC, Vandalur, on contractual basis.
About Institute-
The Advanced Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC), a premier Institute under Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, in the field of wildlife research, training and education invites applications from Indian Nationals for the temporary project based positions of Project Scientist II (PS-II), and Project Associate II (PA-II) for carrying out the various projects under Annual Plan of Operations 2024-25 at AIWC, Vandalur, on contractual basis, through short listing of applications based on educational qualification and personal interview. Details of the position along with essential and desirable qualifications, and monthly consolidated remuneration are given in Annexure-1. Candidates desirous of applying for more than one position may send separate applications for the desired posts.
The last date of receipt of completed application forms along with supporting documents is 18.03.2025 (Tuesday) up to 5.00 PM. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Age limit for various positions is given in annexure 1, age relaxation will be considered as per Government of Tamil Nadu norms for reserved category candidates.
2. Application should be in the prescribed format, duly signed and should be accompanied by self-attested copies of documents on educational qualifications, research experience, UGC/CSIR/GATE certificate (if applicable), extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations, community certificate (if seeking relaxation as per Government of Tamil Nadu rules) etc.
3. The Institute will not provide accommodation and no TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the personal interview. The interview will be in either online or physical mode.
4. At the time of the verification of original documents or even after selection, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to wilfully conceal, misrepresent the facts or canvass, such application will be rejected, and due action will be taken against the candidate.

6. The date and time of the personal interview will be intimated individually by email to the shortlisted candidates.

8. The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Director AIWC, reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason thereof.

3. Educational Qualification-
a. Ph.D. in Biotechnology / Biomedical genetics / Animal
Biotechnology.
b. Essential Qualification: Ph.D. Degree in the above discipline from a recognised university. Minimum 2 years of experience in molecular techniques.
c. Desirable Qualification:
Adequate knowledge in troubleshooting molecular biology assays, project team management, and preparing project reports, research manuscripts and proposals. Experience in the implementation of NABL regulations in the laboratory. Knowledge of statistical tools and Microsoft Office.
4. Age Limit - 50 Years
5. Monthly Remuneration- Consolidated pay of Rs 75000 per month
