Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Colombo. The Medical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. They will perform tasks such as collecting and analyzing specimens, interpreting results, and providing data to physicians. The Medical Laboratory Scientist will also be responsible for quality control and ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and safety regulations.

Qualifications
BSc / MSc in Genetics / Biomedical Science/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology
Minimum 1 year working experience in a clinical or research laboratory

Skills :
Basic knowledge and experience in common molecular biology techniques such as:
PCR
DNA extraction
DNA sequencing
Experience in handling infectious samples in a molecular diagnostic laboratory.
