- The role is responsible for implementing pathogen screening tests in the lab, greenhouse and field.
- Coordinate with junior staff for implementing the SOPs.
- Develop and implement disease resistance screening tests for Plant breeders and trait geneticist/biotechnologist.
- Work closely with other plant pathologists, breeders and marker scientists to help provide direction in disease resistance development and documentation.
- Laboratory, greenhouse and field skills in plant pathology with emphasis on applied disease resistance screening and protocol evaluation.
- Working knowledge of molecular plant pathology.
