Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF-02 post)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled Unveiling Gujarat's Probiotic Treasures "Dahi- दहि निधिः": An initiative toward "vocal for local" funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The posts are purely temporary and co-terminates with the project.
Details of qualifications, emolument, and duration of the project are as follows

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 2. 2. No. of Positions: 02
3. Eligibility
a. Minimum Qualifications:
M.Sc./ M.Tech (Biotechnology/Dairy Science/Dairy Technology/ Microbiology/Biochemistry or relevant life sciences discipline), with minimum of 55% marks.
b. Desirable Qualifications:
Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE etc. National level exams will be preferred
c.Candidates have prior experience of handling bacterial cultivation, identification and characterization, microbial consortia development, metagenomics, bioinformatics and molecular biology techniques such as LC-MS/GC-MS.
d. Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing.
4. Age Limit- Up to 35 years on closing date of advertisement
5. Fellowship Duration
One Year, extendable on annual basis for subsequent years (total 3 years or project's tenure) subject to satisfactory progress, and financial provisions.
6. Fellowship
Rs.36,000/- per month inclusive of HRA (NET/GATE or equivalent exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST GoG guidelines.
OR
Rs.23,213/- fixed per month (For candidates who have not qualified for the national-level-examinations such as NET/GATE) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
