Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled "Agro-waste derived biopolymer based composite aerogels for petrochemical/oil spill cleanup from marine environment" funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Details of qualifications, emolument, and duration of the project are Provided below

2. Eligibility- 
a. Minimum Qualifications:
M.Tech/M.Sc (Biotechnology or relevant life sciences discipline) with a minimum of 55% marks.
b. Desirable Qualifications:
- Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE etc. National-level exams will be preferred.
- Candidates with prior research experience in valorization of agro-waste biomass, extraction of biopolymers, pollutant profiling from environmental samples, HPLC, LC-MS, marine pollution, and bioprocess engineering are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing. data analysis, and lab management.
3. Age Limit
Up to 30 years on the closing date of the advertisement
4. Fellowship Duration
Initially for 1 year (extended to next year, subject to satisfactory performance)
5. Fellowship
Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month (NET/GATE or national-level exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST, GOG guidelines.
                      OR
Rs. 23,213/- fixed per month (For candidates who have not qualified for the national-level-examinations such as NET/GATE) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
