Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications for the position of Project Research Scientist - 1 (Non-Medical) for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded extramural project titled "Polymeric nanomedicine mediated inhalation therapy to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) related inflammation" at the Manipal Centre for Biotherapeutics Research (MCBR), MAHE, Manipal.
Position and details:
1. Position- Project Research Scientist -I (Non-Medical)
2. Eligibility Criteria
3. Remuneration in INR/month- Rs. 56,000/- + 10% HRA (Rs.61,600)
4. Eligibility Criteria- 
(i) M.Sc. (Biotechnology / Bioengineering / Biomedical Science); M.Tech. (Biotechnology / Bioengineering /Biomedical Engineering); M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics /Pharmaceutical Technology) with first class.
OR
(ii) Ph.D. (Pharmaceutics / Biomedical Engineering /Bioengineering/ Biomedical Sciences)
5. Age below 35.
6. Additional qualification/experience In  Nanoformulation, Drug delivery, In vitro cell culture, Molecular biology techniques, and Animal handling will be preferred.
Previous work in COPD and/or Inflammation is a plus.
Having a first author research paper is a plus.
7. Duration of the Project: 24 months
